Harold I. Rubinfeld was born in Los Angeles, California. He attended the University of California at Los Angeles, (UCLA), and graduating Cum Laude in 1970. He attended the University of Southern California (USC), School of Law, receiving his Juris Doctor in 1973 and gaining admission to the California Bar in 1974. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Courts, including the Central District of California, Eastern District of California and Southern District of California. He received mediation training from the San Diego Mediation Center, Pepperdine University Strauss Institute for Dispute Resolution, and Fresno Pacific University.

Mr. Rubinfeld has extensive experience as a mediator, neutral case evaluator, and arbitrator, having served on the Los Angeles County Superior Court Mediation Panel from 2002 through 2008. He has also served as an arbitrator. Mr. Rubinfeld also has vast experience in representing clients in mediation and arbitration proceedings. He has practiced law in California for almost 40 year. He began his private law practice in 1974, handling a wide diversity of matters for individual and corporate clients. Mr. Rubinfeld practices in the areas of commercial transactions, insolvency/bankruptcy law, business disputes and immigration law.

Mr. Rubinfeld devotes much of his free time as an active participant in Soka Gakki International, which has established centers in 192 countries and is dedicated to promoting a foundation of peace based on cultural and educational exchanges between its diverse members.
